Wheelfine is a fixed gear paradise!
When we joke with Michael about how he rides 90% of his miles on his track bike (with one gear, of course) he asks,
“how many gears at a time do you ride with your road bike?” Good point! Fixed gear cycling certainly is a way of life
at Wheelfine. How many shops do you know of that have a fixie only shop ride?
Besides its intended use for track racing, the fixie, as it’s come to be called, has always been accepted by fit racers as
a way to hone indispensable skills, pedal stroke souplesse, and great fitness. Riding a fixed gear on the road forces
the rider to achieve a quick cadence, to attack short hills, to take advantage of the terrain, and get’s the rider
more directly in touch with the machine they are riding.
